Men shouldn't be allowed to lift weights and get buff in prison, we're just making them tougher criminals. I'm guessing that attempted murderer will succeed once he gets out. The should have to do yoga instead. amirite?

It seems like a good idea, but the only problem is that yoga doesn't have the same affect as exercising. In yoga, you may or may ot relax depending on how you feel. But, in lifting weights, it releases endorphins and causes you to feel happy. That's why they lift weights. But, it is kind of scary, seeing ex murderers with baby sized muscles...

My uncle was wrongfully imprisoned for 7 years for robbery. He was just with the wrong people at the wrong time. I understand that not all people in prison are bad, or deserve to be there. He learned a trade, and learned how to draw. He used to send me hand drawn birthday cards. There should be more options in prison for the inmates.

You have to think about this more. The higher security level prisons don't have weights. It's the lower ones for people that have done alot of time or have non violent crimes that have weights available. And yes I know what I'm talking about. My dad's in prison and has been for 14 years now, he's learned his lesson for murder and I know alot of xconvicts with big muscles who are like teddy bears. You don't know what happens the day a crime is committed. You don't know the story behind it. I've been going to prison ALL my life (14 years) and I love my daddy and I understand why he did what he did. Think a little next time okay?

Um, don't be so upset that so many people agree with me. I stand by what i say. Criminals shouldn't be allowed to lift weights. They can do other things to relax, how about read? They are in there for a reason. My dad was a prison guard for 7 years so I also know that a lot of times people get out and go right back to a life of crime, I'd like my criminals less muscly thanks!

They don't keep prisons safe. CO's are JUST as bad as inmates. they join gangs, they supply the drugs. My father has changed tyvm. That was 14years ago and he still has 4 more.

He treated the inmates with respect and did NOT supply drugs or join any gangs. I was old enough to know it wasn't a lie too.
