+594 Water does have a taste. It's just being compared to other things with a more profound taste, so it just seems like there's no flavor. Everything has to have a taste, amirite?

Wrong. H20 in its pure form is completely odorless and tasteless. Your claim that "everything has to have a taste" is ludicrous.

For more information, look up taste on Wikipedia.

Dude, I looked up taste on Wikipedia, and it was so long that I left without reading anything. If you could cite more readable sources, I might care a little bit about what you're saying. But, your tongue has to pick up some kind of flavor, right?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

When was the last time you drank "pure" water?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It doesn't matter. Water doesn't have a taste, which makes this post wrong. The most appalling part of the post, of course, is the last sentence.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It does matter. No one drinks pure water so for all intents and purposes it should be considered to have a taste.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, you're right, haha. :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It doesn't have taste lol, but the amount of Calcium, Sodium or w/e does change its taste a bit.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

pure water, doesn't taste like anything.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Dogs can taste water. Humans only taste the minerals and impurities in the water.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Dogs can't taste it...it's tasteless.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I've heard from many sources that pigs, dogs and others (not humans) CAN taste pure water, but these sources were mostly the inside of bottle caps and the trivia you get with the jokes in christmas crackers, so I'm not sure if it's actually true.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

This is where I got it too. But most of the time, "trivia" is fairly accurate... Well, when I look it up anyway. But, it is hard for humans to know what animals taste and stuff without access to some scientific instruments.

Thank you, professor... In your infinite wisdom.

Pfft. Repost. ;] *it's joke, okay?*

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i don't think i can taste meat... or it just ALL taste the same.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Water tastes like liquid ice

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Water, you can't taste. It's all the impurities and chemicals added that you taste, i'd like to drink pure h20 just to try something with absolute no taste. haha

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Okay, people. I know that pure h2o doesn't have a taste, but how often do you have water that is literally 100 percent pure? Hardly ever.
