American television doesn't have a problem with violence or sex, the only thing it seems to have an issue with it language, which is regoddamndiculous. They'll censor curse words, or just words they deem offensive, but not very much else. I was watching From Dusk Till Dawn, and they blocked out the word "Titty" in the name of the bar, but five seconds later you see a girl's ass in a g-string. I find that odd.

Actually, it may be for the exact reason you stated. The logic of the FCC may be that since violence is less common, it's also less likely to be excacerbated by programming.
