by Anonymous 13 years ago

umm, it has pointy ears, its pink and it has a pig's snout; im pretty sure those are characteristics of a freaking pig..if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, its a frikin duck!! or rather, if it looks like a pig and oinks like a pig, its a frikin pig!!!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Piglet is an ARMADILLO. He has no curly tail, and pink stripes on his torso. You all are dummies!!!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You're calling us dummies? If you knew anything, you'd know that Piglet is in fact, intended to be a PIG. Disney, in fact, did NOT create him, the original author did, so the way Piglet appears in the Disney version of Winnie the Pooh is actually just Disney's interpretation. So, in the original book, by the original author it is quite possible that he envisioned Piglet differently.

Further evidence: 1. Remember that the Winnie-the-Pooh books were written in the early 1920's in England. The characters were based upon either stuffed animals that were given to Christopher Robin Milne (Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet, Kanga, Roo, Tigger), or animals seen in the nearby woods (Owl and Rabbit). 2. The character's names were based upon the animal itself or variations on the animal. Most are self-apparent. "Eeyore" is the sound a donkey makes, and "Winnie" was the name of a bear seen in the London Zoo. 3. Christopher Robin Milne did not own a stuffed armadillo. 4. Armadillos are not indigenous to England. (You won't find them wondering around in the woods). I believe their range is from Argentina as far north as Texas and Louisiana. 5. Armadillos have hard shells which cover their body, and aren't pink. Piglet doesn't have a shell, and IS pink.

I thought the Armadillo post was written with sarcasm...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

piglet is jn fact an armidillo. baby armidillos are also called piglets. his "sweater" is his armor. disney changed a lot abt piglets character, but he originally was an armidillo
