+335 It's nearly impossible to delete a Facebook account. "You're sure you want to quit Facebook? You're positive? Like, completely, 100% positive? If I showed you some new apps, would you consider staying? You're sure? " Amirite?

And then it goes and shows you pictures of your friends! It's all "____ will miss you" and "_______ will miss you" with pictures of their faces. Kinda creepy...

A lot of sites make it difficult to delete your account, or sometimes even impossible. They just do it to keep the numbers up. Whether people are actually using those accounts or not, the number of accounts makes the site *seem* popular. That's why Google forced all its YouTube users to create a Google+ account in order to comment on videos, send messages, etc... not enough people were signing up to the optional service, so they made the option mandatory. Facebook does keep all your info whether or not you delete your account or any of your content, even whatever you typed into a text box, whether you actually posted it or not. If Facebook ever gets hacked like Yahoo does every 6 months, we'd all be screwed, whether we have an active account, or an "inactive" account from several years ago, since facebook logs our online activity (ever seen a Facebook ad for something you were just looking at elsewhere on the internet, whether or not you were actually logged into Facebook?!)
