+364 It's funny how Republicans are pro life, but are also for everything that will end it; i.e. pro gun, pro war, for the death penality, and also against the health care reform, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The only people no waying this post must be saying, "No it's not funny" because the rest is pure fact

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I am a Republican and I don't agree with the death penalty, but I do agree we need to finish the war right.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah. Go out with a bang, my grandpappy always said. And by bang I mean nuclear in proportion.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

By right I mean stay until the job is done, not get out in 16 months like the Democrats want. Obama is already withdrawing troops.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Until what job is done? Finding weapons of mass destruction? That was a bust. Fighting terrorists? WE'RE the invaders here. Monopolized their oil and brought it back to the US? Now THERE'S a job we haven't finished yet. You're absolutely right. Come on, America, let's do this right.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Most republicans aren't even pro life. They just love death all around.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

As George Carlin used to say.. they're pro-life as long as you're still in the womb, but after that, you're on your own.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

By the way, people who are pro-life people feel any life is important. Therefore the correct term would be anti-abortionist.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's funny that pro choice i.e (proabortionist) will fight to kill an innocent baby, but love spending our money on keeping hardcore criminals alive.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Exactly.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Do you have any idea how many people who were on death row were exonerated after new evidence was found? A list: http://deathpenaltyinfo.org/innocence-list-those-freed-death-row How would you have liked for 138 innocent people to have been executed?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

how would you like for a million innocent babies to be killed? oh! that's right, you don't care about them.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Abortion isn't murder. Fetuses don't even feel pain before 24 weeks. And you can't tell a woman what to do with her body. it's her choice.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's not killing a baby, it's terminating a pregnancy. that should be a person's choice whether they want to have a baby or not.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

then they shouldn't get pregnant, and i know there are rape babies too and special circumstances, but that's not all of them. Some are just bad choices and everyone deserves a second chance, but there is consequence. And most people that are pro life are Christian or are for some religious reason, and in Christianity we believe that you can be uncomfortable for just a moment compared to the everlasting kingdom of heaven in the future.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I didn't say it was okay to use abortion as a regular form of birth control! There are circumstances when birthing a child is dangerous to a mothers' health, threatening to a mother's current living situation, or threatening to the unborn fetus's health.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If we take soldiers out of Iraq then the war will just break out in the u.s. Because Iraq soldiers/terroist will just come here. Would you rather the war be there or here? And we don't believe in unresponsible women killing there kids when they decided to have sex they face the consequence. Rape is a different story.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Exactly and when people used to go to war they had no idea when they would be back. Some of them left senior year and were gone for years.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

*Penalty*

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hello. I am a Republican, and I oppose the death penalty. And at least the people who die there are criminals. Those babies haven't done a thing.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

When you get an abortion you do not kill a baby. You kill a fetus, an embryo, or a zygote. It's important to make that distinction.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Just because it isn't a fully developed baby yet, doesn't mean that you aren't taking away a life. Even single-celled organisms have every characteristic of LIFE. Once a zygote is formed it is a unique, living human cell that will soon develop into a person. If you terminate it, you are taking away it's one chance at having a full life.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I didn't say that it wasn't a life and I didn't say whether it was wrong or okay to kill it. I was just stating that "baby" is not the correct way to identify it. You would be saying the same thing if someone called a toddler an adult.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't think a bunch of useless highschoolers who don't have anything better to do with there day by going on amirite should tell america what to do and what's best for this country

by Anonymous 13 years ago

and i don't think you should tell us highschooler's what to say, and what not to say, because we are in turn this countries future.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

although I disagree with the points you are making on the rest of this post, that's true. We are the future, and it;s perfectly fine for us to have opinions. We are people, just as important to the world as anyone else.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My sentiments exactly. We are the future, so if we don't, can't, or won't form opinions on important issues of today, then how will we be able to change things and make important decisions in the future? If anything, the teenagers are the ones who need to be considering these issues in depth so that we can make the world a better place.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

you're on amirite too... and you're an adult, that is more pathetic in my opinion.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So posting Amirights is showing maturity? It's gonna fix the war? NO.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

NO ONE claimed that it would. There is NOTHING WRONG with discussion.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

@littlemexico I'm a high schooler too telling you that it's pathetic how people our age think they can say what America should do. Thats an opinion.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

And I think it's pathetic that you don't think what teenagers have to say is important. We're the ones who will be leading the country in the future, and we're the ones who need to be informed so we can do a good job. And that's an opinion as well.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

2 points. 1, you are stereotyping all Republicans together. A lot of Republicans are NOT for the death penalty, and a fair amount aren't even for the war. 2, High schoolers should be formulating our opinions now. In a couple of years, we will be voting. Don't you want us to be well informed?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

who are you replying to?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The first part to the actual post, the second part to whoever said that teenagers' opinions dont matter.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I agree with the teenagers thing, but speaking about the different opinions of separate parties and people are how politics work. One group of people will believe in some thing, sometimes people in that group will have ideas that slightly differ form the rest, but generally that is how politics is supposed to work. Some peoples ideas and other peoples ideas.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I can see that, I totally get that, but there are different levels of being a Republican, and they have different beliefs. For instance, a Moderate Republican is prolife, whether it be on the topic of abortion, death penalty, or war.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm not saying high schoolers shouldn't form opinions. Im saying if your going to form an opinion it's immature to do it over amirite.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

@424211 (Anonymous): Well I happen to be trying to help other teenagers out there formulate their opinions. I happen to be a part of the Young Republicans club at my school, and I do other events spreading beliefs and making teenagers like me more informed.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

sorry we dont like to kill babies.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Another thing about the health care reform; I don't feel like having to pay for someones health bill just because they were to lazy to go to college. I know it's expensive, but honestly that isn't my problem and I shouldn't have to pay for there problems.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Or how about those people who DID go to college, but haven't been able to find good jobs in this economy? Or those who are being forced to stay at a job they hate just so they can keep the health insurance? Or the people with pre-existing health conditions who couldn't get coverage to pay for medical care? These are the beneficiaries of the bill. So next time, think about how even though you may be lucky enough not to have to worry about it, there are thousands of people out there who are dying because they don't have insurance, or their insurance has a cap on it to prevent them from getting the health care they need.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

are u fucking kidding me? all the things u listed have to do with people dying because they deserve to die. terrorists, death through self defense, and killing murderers and the scum of america. and how is it a complete strangers' responsibility to pay for someone who's too poor to pay for his own issues. its ridiculous that anyone these days does good in school and works hard in college and gets a good job when you can drop out of highschool not get a job and be a lazy stupid hyppocryt sucking money from people who actually did something with their life.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh my goodness, go to freaking hell you ignorant asshole. People like you disgust me. You're the biggest idiot I've ever heard.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

HONESTLY. I got through half of his post and couldn't keep reading because it makes me so angry that there are people in this world who actually think like that. So scary

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If the heath care reform is so great, why is Obama, his family, all of the congressman exempt from it?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They just don't want everyone to be the exact same. The health situaton requires everyone to pay a large tax and soon it will become liberal which means you will have no goal in life, if you were born poor, sucks for you, you don't get chances or luck. Most of the time when countries get liberal nobody works since they're paid and the tax will get to like 80% and everything fails, no new inventions, it's a hard concept to grasp but it's true.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's not that I love war, but I do believe that with the crazy humans in this world, if diplomatic attempts fail, it's sometimes necessary to engage in war in order to protect the country. I respect soldiers. A lot.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Does anyone realize that the death penalty is costing the united states much more than a lifetime of incarceration would for a criminal? I've done way more research on the topic than I would've liked, seeing as in college they like to make you write 15 page research papers. I'm a republican, I'm pro CHOICE, as in people should mind their own damn buisness, against the death penalty to the fullest, and against the war. Calm down with your stereotypes.
