+363 It would rock if everyone saw different colors, like my green, is your orange, though we all call it green, so we would never know, amirite?

This is deep, man. Never really thought of it that way. Plus colors are pretty much indescribable unless compared to something.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I have often thought of this :P

I've thought of this a lot. I went to an eye doctor once and they did this test, and they found out I actually see different shades of colors than everyone else. So you may see a slightly darker or lighter shade of blue, but that's not what I'll see.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

isn't that what already happens? :D and by the way what's your favorite color? ... virtually it looks the same as mine))

I brought this up with my mom awhile ago, and she just I was crazy. Glad somebody agrees!

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Wow I've pondered this too ( and aparently so have others). Its a bit crazy when you think about it.

Any eye problem that involves colour is considered 'colour blindness. Color blindness is not the swapping of colors by the observer — grass is never red, and stop signs are never green. The color impaired do not learn to call red "green" and vice versa. However, dichromats (a type of colour blindness) often confuse red and green items, i.e: apples and stop lights.

That would be so awesome!

I have thought of this all the time! It's so weird to think about

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I've thought about that so much! WEIRD.

I've thought about this a lot

I have thought about that soo much, weird!

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Definitely thought of this, too! Except I like to imagine that people might see entirely different spectra from one another. Like someone's "blue" is some wild, crazy color that I'll ever see in my life.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I know. Its like, try to imagine a color that isn't already a mix of other colors? NOT POSSIBLE. : )

by Anonymous 14 years ago

That is so weird. Like the ten-ish people above me, I always think of this.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I though I was the only one who'd thought of this!

by Anonymous 14 years ago

So I'm not alone in this way of thinking. That's good to know haha

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I have often thought of this too

by Anonymous 14 years ago

another one here who has pondered this many times

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I think about this a lot, too. o.O

by Anonymous 14 years ago

awesome!

by Anonymous 14 years ago

ive always thought about that but i thought i was the only one :P

by Anonymous 14 years ago

That wouldn't make sense. If you ever talk to anyone besides that one persons whose green was your orange, you would notice the difference. Really think about this guys.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I believe this is called "colorblindness."

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I've thought of this a lot :) And it's not colorblindness. It's more like if EVERYONE was colorblind. So when you're little and you're learning colors, someone says "This is orange" and you think, "okay", even though you're seeing blue. You'd never know.
