It wouldn't have longer days AND a more condensed workload. Because if it was longer days, you wouldn't need the work to be condensed more, and if the work was condensed more, you wouldn't need longer days.

We actually have something close to that where I live. We get every other Friday off, and we go to school between 8:24-3:16. It's not bad at all, in my opinion.

My school district doesn't go to school on Fridays, and my 'work load' isn't any more than usual. We just have longer classes. We start at 7:50 and go to 3:43, so it's not bad at all. I'd much rather have a four day week with longer days and get an extra day off every week.

With my high school, the seniors started earlier than the rest of the school, but we had an extra day off. So it was the same amount of work.
