He actually went in a boat...fucking noob

No, he flew to the island, and then they rode back to shore on the Dursley's boat. Honestly, though, I wouldn't take it as canon. There are a lot of inconsistencies and plot holes in the first Harry Potter book that are cleared up later in the series. For example--Rowling didn't invent Apparation until book 3.

he apparated over, Rowling just didnt MENTION apparation until book 3...?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's clear that she didn't invent Apparition until book 3, because of many situations in books 1 and 2 where a character could have apparated but didn't. It's also clear she didn't invent side-along Apparition until book 6.

This isn't true. Remember the second book, when Ron and Harry steal the bike? Ron says Bill and Mrs. Weasley can apparate home. Not true.

All right, it wasn't invented until book 2.

Idiot. Went in a boat.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No, he didn't. He flew and even said so. They went back on a boat, which was the one the Dursleys used to get there. Get your facts straight before calling anybody an idiot.

HE DIDN'T GO IN A BOAT. He says that he flew. I doubt he apparated because he was only 13 when he was expelled... And he can't fly unassisted... Brooms don't hold him well... The bike wasn't there... HELP ME JKR

JKR cant help you now boy=]

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There is just a gap in the plot that JKR filled with a flying Hagrid. Get over it.

Voldemort can fly at will, Hagrid needs a bike. Voldemort>Hagrid

He had his own boat dumbshits. The Dursleys had were taken over by an old man. How could Hagrid sit on Harry's cake if he flew?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

He coukd have sat on it on the bike. Hagrid's big. That bike is tiny compared to Hagrid. At one point or another he must have sat on it.
