+361 I'd rather make a mistake by doing something >I< wanted to do, than make a mistake following OTHERS. amirite?

Oh, I thought the ">I<" was supposed to be a face for a second.

Similar to that saying that we regret the things we didn't do more than the things we did do. As in, make the choice to not do something and then realising is was a mistake has greater regret than doing something, and then reflecting that it was a mistake.

Minus 1 for derogatory comma!

(Chauncy Pickles): Ha, those commas nowadays are called "Shatner commas", because rather than follow grammar conventions, you sort of put them where you want the reader to slightly pause, with the effect that if you use too many you'll sound like William Shatner.

What's with the >I<?

Sorry, I know it kind of does look like a face...It's just to emphasize the I.
