Scientific words for everyday objects are often clumsy & awkward to mention. In this respect I would say that clitoris is even worse than penis. Scrotum isn’t far behind, & how about testicle, vas deferens & epididymus! The sooner words such as cock, clit, balls, pussy etc. are no longer considered to be offensive the better IMHO.
