It's not realistic when people say "live life to the fullest, have no regrets." If you never regret anything you did, no matter how stupid, then it shows that you didn't learn from your experience. Life involves making mistakes, and a life with no regret would be impossibly perfect, amirite?

Just because you don't regret something doesn't mean you didn't learn from it.

A mistake is different from a regret. Regrets are when if you could go back in time and change them if you could. A mistake is something you did that you learn from.

I think that's the reason why people don't regret things... because they learned from it.

making mistakes and having regrets are two different things.

I don't regret anything... I wouldn't wanna change anything that's happened in my life so far, not even the bad stuff, because if I did, I wouldn't be the person I am and I wouldn't know what I know now. :)

It's only a mistake if you didn't learn from it.

not true. i dont regret anything. i acknowledge that i have made mistakes, but i have learned from all of them so i dont wish that they hadnt happened. if i didnt make those mistakes, i would have to learn those lessons by making a different mistake in the future.

Well that's supergreat that you don't regret anything, even though that's crap. Everyone wishes they could change something. You regret saying something mean to someone, what did you learn? don't be mean to people? Well they taught us that in kindergarten. Said something to a teacher that got you on her bad side? Yeah, same. Learned it. SO many things that are mistakes, whether big or small, have a lesson, but you can still regret it. There are so many mistakes I've made that I've learned lessons from but I still wish I hadn't done them because they had bad consequences. So I learned from my mistake but I still wish it hadn't happened. I hope your utopian life with no regrets, only "mistakes that made you who you are" goes well. :)

I don't regret anything, and my life is pretty damn awesome.
I don't wish I could take back something.
If I've done something, it was for a good reason.
Sure, I've made a couple of mistakes, but do I regret them?
No.
They were little mistakes, and I don't take the time out of my day to brood on it.
After all, life is short.
Why wonder about what could've happened if you never made that one little mistake?
It's pretty stupid if you ask me.

I wish I could magically erase the regret from my mind, but life doesn't work like that either. I was voicing my personal opinion that people who say that they don't have regret is not true. I'm so happy for you that you seemingly don't have regret. have a nice life.

Wisdom comes from making mistakes. Someone could tell you that you shouldn't be mean to people but until you experience the guilt that comes from causing someone that pain, you'll never truly understand. That's why some people (myself included) regret nothing and wouldn't change anything.

Well I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. Because my argument doesn't make sense to you, and yours doesn't make sense to me.

You can still learn from mistake, it wouldn't be a regret.
