When a woman is going for an abortion, it obviously wasn't an easy decision. The last thing she needs is a million people telling her she's a murderer, amirite?

It IS an easy decision, Abortions are the best form of birth control.

Yeah, and they don't know why she's doing it. The baby or the mother could have a condition that would make it dangerous to give birth. Or she could have been raped or something.

Agreed. People act like all women who get abortions get them as an easy way out, but it's not easy. When you get pregnant with a baby you don't want, NOTHING is easy.

I spent about a month researching abortion for an essay. It's NOT easy. In fact, many of the women go through a time if regret. Even if they think they made the right choice, it's still not easy.

Totally agree. I can't stand when a prolifer says the woman is heartless. Its BY FAR the most heart breaking decision a woman will ever have to make. There is a small percentage of stupid whores who use it as birth control. But for most its so hard, but absolutely the right choice at that time.

There are better option than abortion... Take responsibility for your actions ( 87% of cases for abortion are not rape related) instead of hurting something that does not deserve it ... If they have to think about the decison that much they must know deep down that it is murder

You also have to keep in mind that every woman has a different story. They have to think about everyone's future. The baby would deserve to live in an environment that wants it and is PREPARED for a child. Putting a baby up for adoption isn't easy either. Foster care may end up disastrous. The child may not be born into a good family, or even the potential to be adopted into a good family. Everyone has different reasons. Not every single abortion is murder. Though of course, it should never be used as birth control...unless both parties have used the proper birth control and are in a committed relationship. Even then it's complicated.

All this anti-abortion bull is not about saving lives of fetuses it's about punishing women for having sex. I wish more women would take responsibility for their actions by getting an abortion, finishing high school, going to college, getting a fulfilling career, and making a meaningful contribution to society.

If your not ready for a child how can you be expected to take care of one for the rest of your life? Guess what, not everyone wants children. If someone doesn't want children you can't expect them to abstain from sex for there whole lives. Sex is not just for making babies you know.

I agree. I knew a woman who committed suicide due to the fact that she had no way to pay for the baby, or the medical expenses to have a safe birth. She had an abortion, but too many people told her it was murder. She considered herself a murderer. All because of ignorant people who have never had any experience with a situation like this in anyway.

I don't think abortion is right, but until I'm put in a situation where it may be the best choice I can't say ill never do it. I think its horrible that some bitches use it as birth control but aside from that there are a million reasons other than rape even that someone will make that choice and I don't believe its ok to harass someone for that decision.

Really you think they'll have no regret? Go through 10 months of having a baby growing in you. Feeling it move kick hearing the heartbeat seeing sonograms going through labor and then.... Just gone. Fuck that. Especially since 100's of kids every single day are raped, beat, starved even killed in adoption homes. 100's spend their entire lives in horrible conditions and turn 18 and are put out on the streets with absolutely nothing and their only option is turning to crime. The percentage of children put up for adoption that end up with a good loving family is so small.

If she didn't WANT the baby, she should have thought about it before she got pregnant. Rape is a different story, but adoption is ALWAYS a better option than abortion. Just ask the family who wants a child, and can't have one.

You don't seem to value the woman's life. If you did, you wouldn't stop her from doing the one thing that will allow her to get an education, a fulfilling career, full and equal citizenship, and an opportunity to pursue her dreams and benefit society with her full ability. When women are forced to have children against their will, society is not free.

I completely agree that father is equally responsible for the child. We should not hand out babies to people so that they learn their lesson. Babies are blessings, not punishments and consensual responsible sex is not a sin that needs to be punished. In some cases, getting an abortion is the best and most logical way to take responsibly and deal with the consequences. We need to trust women to make the best decisions for their bodies and their lives.
