+377 My little brother is almost nine years old. He doesn't know how to tie his shoes, brush his teeth, get dressed by himself, do his own homework, or even use the bathroom by himself. Yet he still has a cell phone, an iPod, knows how to work the DVR, can hook up all the game systems, and play on facebook. And no, he's not mentally challenged. The future of the next generation looks bleak, amirite?

Just as I gain hope for the world, I lost it.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Nine and can't tie shoelaces? Wow.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

nine and can't use the bathroom for himself? Your kidding right

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Nope.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

thi is sad. it be okay for him not to know all that stuff if he did have a mental disability.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

But he doesn't. He's just a regular nine year old little boy. Well, not regular, obviously, but you get what I'm saying...

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Don't worry. He's in the 2000s generation. The 90s generation is much more intelligent and we will be better than them.

This is so sad, and the worst part is that it is no lie. My little brother who is 10 is exactly the same way. My parents seem to think is ok, and baby him to not hurt his self esteem, but in the end they are causing him much more damage. It really saddens me.

Sounds like all he need is stricter parenting. I mean, he can't go to the bathroom, tie his shoes, or dress himself? He just sounds spoiled.

i have a friend whose fifteen and can't tie his shoes.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My cousin is like this. He's not mentally ill either. Oh, and he is about 11 years old.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Omg!! You just described my little brother word for word. haha He is 9 too. Lol

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm sorry but your brother has no excuses. My 6 year old sister and 7 year old brother can do all of those things (except for tying shoes) by themselves and they are both slightly autistic.

My sis is mentally challenged, but she can do what your bro can't, and can't do what your bro can. My sis is awesome.

i dont think its a problem with their generation. i think their parents should be evaluated.

Glad to be born in the 90's :) Whenever I hav kids I'm gonna teach them how to do physical stuff..it's much better than tech.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

don't be rude to your brother or relatives, its not their fault learning that sorta stuff doesn't fall outta their asses, someone has to teach it to them.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

what the fuckity fuck. glad to be a nineties baby.

by Anonymous 13 years ago
