Wearing tye-dye, long flowing skirts, and braided headbands do not make you a hippie. Rebelling against the norm, and trying to change and help the world through protest and the arts are what make someone a hippie. It's a way of life, not something you wear on your arm like a fashion accessory. amirite?
If it's fashion, it's called boho.
There's nothing wrong with dressing like that because you're interested in the '60s. Not everyone like that is a poser. I like the '60s, the music, I try to help the earth, and I like to dress like that. I don't claim to be a hippie, though.
