Well, this is completely circumstancial. Anything highschool or younger, as a rule, will be wrong, since the oldest a highschool student can really be is 18, and with the teacher needing to go through college, they're probably mid 20's LOWEST. However, in college, there's a very good chance they can be very close to the same age, and the maturity level is pretty much the same, so that can be right. Because there are two different circumstances, I'm voting Maybe. AKA abstaining.

It's not as weird in college, but I still think it's sketchy to get into a romantic relationship with a teacher, while in his or her class. If you're dating a professor on campus while not taking their classes, fine, but dating the person who grades your papers, or a student whose papers you grade, is kinda sketchy because it might compromise the legitimacy of your grade.

I wouldn't call it gross, it's just risky. The teacher will be more compelled to be lenient with grading that particular student. And if they broke up, the teacher could find any reason under the sun to fail the student. It's not exactly the best circumstances for a romantic relationship.

A friendship relationship is fine, nothing wrong with that. But a love relationship in highschool is wrong, but in college it's okay; the teacher may be young, and the student might be old like in their late or mid 20s
