yes all push start cars and key less entries need to have the key within a certain radius to unlock it. and all push to start cars need to have the key in the car for it to start
yup thats right you can't get in the car without having the key
I was reading about them, and supposedly, you need a button to unlock it and there's a chip in aforementioned button that you also need to start the car.
without the key/ignition in the on position the fuel pump wont run, so the car wont start. and thats if you can break into the car and hotwire it to turn over without the key fob in your pocket.
