"Piranha 3D" looks like it's going to be REALLY bad, amirite?

I thought it was going to be a comedy horror spoof thing tbh.

It's actually getting mostly positive reviews. I saw a preview of it (not a trailer), and it looks bloody awesome, literally. While it's not a parody, I think it definitely will have a healthy level of satire. I think it's ironic that people think "Vampires Suck" looks good, but not this movie.

how's it ironic? and vampires suck looks like a good spoof film because of all the hype and anti-hype going into the twilight series. + reviews on original film = + reviews on spoof film

The humor in that movie looks just as bad as the humor in Disaster Movie, and everyone avoided that movie like the plague. Vampires Sucks just happens to be spoofing a genre that everybody hates nowadays. Otherwise it's not any better of a movie.

I loved Disaster Movie. It was a bit cheesy at parts, but I like stuff so stupid that it's funny. "Head on, apply directly to your forehead. Head on, apply directly to your forehead. Head on, apply directly to your motherfucking forehead. *repeats a million times*" Then the song at the end. That princess was HILARIOUS. Then Kim Kardashian in it and dying. And that Juno girl. And that black guy talking to Kim's "mom" and talking about how he found this new princess chick willing to do ANYTHING. I also loveddddddd Meet The Spartans. So, I'm really excited for Vampires Suck. Although, I'm more excited about The Social Network. (:

I don't know why, but I think it looks stupid as well. Which is strange because I normally love those movies. It just looks funny. Although, I'm SOOOO glad that Richard Dreyfuss will be playing Hooper in this. SOO glad. (Hooper was his character in Jaws.)

They've blatantly only made that movie so they could take advantage of the sudden 3D craze. If it wasn't in 3D it would be a straight to DVD movie.

I read in entertainment weekly that they were planning Piranha for seven years. But now that 3D's more popular they got funding for it.

Why is everyone comparing this movie with Jaws? There is a HUGE difference between Sharks and Piranhas.

They both have gills, live in liquid, have sharp teeth, and are in horror movies. Seems like a lot of similiarites to me.

They also both feature the same character. Matt Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss) is in Piranha too. He even said that he wanted it to be like Jaws. He produced it. Also, TicTacAddict is right as well...

If you like bad movies or B-movies, you will love this movie. If you think "Vampires Sucks" looks good, then you should be shot and buried in an unmarked grave. This movie does a great job of respecting the genre while still parodying it.
