I have a friend who traded two years of birthday/Christmas presents and got a job so she could get braces. It was the only way her parents could afford it. I hate that they're so expensive.

That's so sad :( They should be covered by a health plan if they're needed badly.

I needed mine "badly", and they costed 5,000. It would've been nice if it was covered by a health plan.

Orthodontic/dental care is expensive which is unfortunate, but orthodontists/dentists go through extensive training and years of college to perfect their craft.
