It would be tragic to meet the love of your life at a young age, have them die soon after you meet them, marry someone later in life, and live the rest of your life knowing that the person you married, although you love them, will never compare to that first person, amirite?

You know what else would be tragic? Watching your whole family die while your country is at war and then being forced to do slave labor for the basic necessities of life.
