+70 Thousands to millions of scientists/theologists/non-believers have created thousands of theories as to how the universe was formed. Is it really that hard to say a being of unimaginable power created all of this? And yet, this being only has three letters in His name. That's more believable, amirite?

Exactly.

Never mind, I understand. But people want proof, and solid evidence. You can't prove there is a God, that's why it's called faith. It's a little harder for me to believe an all powerful being just made this all. It's easier for me to believe the scientific part. But I see where you are coming from.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You can't solidly prove the big bang or other things

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Easier to believe that by some minute chance that is infinately small, the Earth happened to come together in a place that is not an inch too far away or too close to the nearest star that life could actually formed? I'm just going to stick with the God thing.

What created the creator?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Finally my dog is given some credit :D

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I find it hard to believe in Creationism due to all the scientific evidence contradicting it but i do believe in God and since scientists still have no idea how to explain the Big Bang like why it happened. My explanation is that God created the Big Bang and then just let things play out.

If you believe in God, you believe in the Bible. If you believe in the Bible, you believe in Creationism. There's no other way

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That is so wrong. Jewish people believe in the same God we do and they don't believe in the Bible. That is so narrow minded i can't even comprehend it

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Then cut out the Bible part, you'd still believe in creationism. Jews believe in that, at least.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i can completely believe in God without believing in Creationism....who r u to tell me what i can and cannot believe. I believe in God but not necessarily all that is written about him. Humans do make mistakes. I completely believe that God is responsible for all that happened just not in 7 days. If you take the Creation story and make it last idk...13 billion years then it all works with the story of evolution.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So you're cutting and pasting belief in God into evolution and making your own religion?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

not religion just my own beliefs. Yes i am free to believe whatever i want

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm confused as to what you are trying to say.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There's a compromise between Scientology and creationism. It's that God caused everything to happen. He molded life so that we would evolve and caused the explosion of the Big Bang, etc. That's what I believe. If you think about it, human life is so structured and patterned that it can't have happened by accident

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Scientology and science are definitely not the same thing

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Teehee scientology...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

This is worded horribly.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The way you throw "theologists" in there makes it sound as if they are part of the group that doesn't believe in a creator...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It was a mistake to create this post. Not everyone will ever agree with you completely. Religion is a very touchy subject, and it doesn't need to be brought up here.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

this site isn't about always being right, its just about stating your opinions.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(bluerice):but...the whole concept of the site is to ask if you're right about something or not, otherwise it would me "isthismyopinion?"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

but if it's your opinion then you believe it's write so there for you CAN ask amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

FSM.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

it kinda sounds like you think that its more believable that some god did it because he has three letters in him name. just sayin

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Sense this does not make.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't understand this post's wording, but I do understand that I believe that this universe is far to complex to have been created by chance.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Why this is simply ridiculous. There is loads of evidence for the scientific theor--WAIT. Did you say three letters? THERE IS A GOD!!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The three letters in the beings name makes no sense. The word "God" has many diffrent translations, God wasn't the original Hebrew name. And even if that was the universal word for God why would it make it more beleivable that it only had three letters?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, as other people have pointed out, I'm not sure how the fact that god is spelled with three letters makes the idea any more credible...what about Allah or any other god for that matter? Also, I can't speak for EVERYone else, but I prefer the term atheist over non-believer. Especially in this context, non-believer sounds rather derogatory. Atheists aren't all god/religion hating maniacs. We have our bad ones, but so do Christians and all other beliefs. Very few other people I know are atheist, and I can completely respect and see the views of the religious, I just don't agree with them.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Shun the non-believer? Shun?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I hate that ppl say this world is 'too amazing/complex' for science and that and that a higher power had to create it. The higher power is science and chance and evolution...study for once, it's much more interesting than those fairy tales they feed you at church to encourage ignorance.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

so much for being tolerant of other religions....

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I am christian, and i do believe in God. However, when you say "Its all because of God" it doesn't give a real reason. There are many theories, yes. But there are also maaaany religions, and all those religions bring about new ways of how the universe was created. Also, you can't just say "it was god." thats like if someone made a cake and put it on a table and i asked "who made the cake?" and someone else said "elves." people might belive it, but not everyone will, and its not really true. I would like to know who actually really made the cake.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yahweh, jehovah, and allah do NOT have three letters.
