i had one when i was 10. never touched anyone. had one at 14. never touched anyone. its been 6 years and still havent had one. thats not herpes.

Not all cole sores are from kissing.. you can get them if someone touches their cole sore and then touches you and you touch your mouth.

It's not the same kind of herpes that people get on their genital area though. It's a different strain that has different effects

though it can spread to the genitals and vice versa. you can get in pretty much anywhere on your body. I saw a case study where someone had it on the finger and the eye. YUCK.

Cole sores Fucking suck -.- You get this [sometimes] huge bubbley looking thing on your lip for a couple of days before it turns into a scab..

I prefer calling it a "canker sore" and refrain from reminding myself that there is virus/thingy that sounds dreadfully close to a feared gentile infection

You can also get them from eating something with a lot of salt. What I find weird is once you have one, gargling with salt water helps the pain and gets rid of it faster. But yeah. Its herpes. And 80 some odd percent of the population has it in some form or another and doesn't even know.

oh yeah. They're hell! I usually use a combo of salt water and listerine. The listerine tends to numb it for awhile too, along with killing the germy bugs. Lol
