+356 When a cartoon character makes a quote, it is forever refered to as a quote from that character, never by the actor or the writer, amirite?

"Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get" - Forrest Gump, not Tom Hanks.

If you want to get really technical, it was actually Forrest Gump's mama who said that.

And then Forrest reiterated it...

If you want to get technical, it was the writer who came up with that quote.

Well the character is the one who said the quote, not the person playing the character.

Holy shit, I JUST made a post today saying how it was annoying when people did the opposite (as in attributed a quote to the actor when it was the character who said such). I hadn't even seen this one, either, mine was in response to someone quoting a line from Dead Poets Society as Robin Williams' rather than Mr. Keating's. But really. That's weird.
