+49 People who say "I don't believe in Jesus," are clearly uneducated and should not be discussing religion. There is historical proof that Jesus did exist. Why don't you do some research before you start forming opinions. amirite?

And there's historical evidence that says Mohammed existed, yet Christians argue against that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

no no no. christians believe that your dude existed. however, christians' loyalty and faith lies with jesus.

well, i can speak for myself, that when i say that, i mean, i know he existed, and did a lot, but there are a lot of things that people say he did that are impossible (like splitting the bread and such) that i dont believe. i dont know about others, but thats what i mean.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't believe in him spriritually is what they mean when they say that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oy I can't even begin to think of what I would comment on this, so for now this is it.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Depends on your definition of Jesus If I say 'I don't believe in Jesus' I'm talking about the one who performed the miracles As you point out however, there is historical proof a man named Jesus existed I won't deny the possibility of his existence, but I doubt however he's the son of God

Like everybody else said, we don't doubt the humanity of Jesus - but we do doubt the divinity of Jesus.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

There actually is no proof (outside of the bible) that Jesus existed so, ya might want to change this post a bit.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I think there might be, actually. In my high school history class I remember my teacher telling us about how there were several different accounts and writings by random people about Jesus. I'm not completely sure, it's been a while, but I think there could be.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Yeah, all from the bible lol. And written 75 years after he "lived".

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Well, that's the point. They weren't from the Bible. But I could be wrong, I don't remember well. There's also that piece of fabric that he dabbed the blood off his face with that scientists used to recreate his face. Either way, he did exist but wasn't the son of any God.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

"Either way, he did exist" no solid evidence he existed to begin with. And the shroud of turin was not of jesus, they tested the cloth and it wasn't even from the same time period.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Interesting, I didn't know that. I'm assuming You don't believe in God, so why does it matter if Jesus actually existed? If he did exist we know he wasn't the son of god so it doesn't matter whether he did or did not exist.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I believe there are records from the Roman empire about him.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Link? Article? Anything lol?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

my apologies, I can't give anything specific. I've just heard that there are. whether or not it's true I am not sure.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

In my world history books at school they linked Jesus with Pontius Pilate and other well known historical figures. Look in World History Book. :)

I believe in Jesus. I think he was a pretty chill lad and did lots of good things and spread lots of positive messages. However, he probably couldn't turn water into wine or come back from the dead. I'm not sure why christians felt the need to put that in the bible, it just makes it less believable

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I believe in Jesus =/= I believe a man named Jesus existed at some point in the last few billions of years on the planet Earth.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Just like if I said "I believe in you", that's not saying "I believe you exist".

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Okay, everyones coming in saying Jesus wasn't our savior he didn't do miracles woo atheism yay. As someone who believes in jesus as our savior, there is no proof that he didn't do these things. You can say its not possible, but Christians believe he was a son of god. Sons of gods are pretty special dudes and do some stuff that's not exactly possible otherwise.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I don't understand what you're trying to say....

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Yeah, no one here has said that Christians don't think he's the son of god.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I reread it and I kinda rambled, but what I think I meant was that everyone came in here stating that Jesus wasn't gods son like they knew for sure. I was just trying to bring the other perspective in.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I don't think they actually mean that. I think they mean they don't believe he had any religious meaning
