+227 If you think about it, being a nerd is much more fun than being known. Because the "cool" people expect you to be smart, have nerdy friends, and lame clothes. When you're known, something as simple as having a bad hair day will make everyone flip. amirite?

Don't be giving away the secret now...

I think when you're in high school, everyone knows who everyone is, so if you have a bad hair day, people are going to talk about it no matter what.

I didn't realize how many people I DIDN'T know until I graduated. I never met HALF of my graduating class, and that is weird to me.

(Chauncy Pickles): Yeah, I guess it's different when your grade has just over 200 people. I didn't know half the people in my grade (but I recognized most) on a field trip that we took at the end of freshman year. But yeah, my school is small because we're attached to another school that's in the same building for UIL things.

This post kind of reminds me of the "I'm nobody! Who are you?" poem by Emily Dickinson.

I never understood the whole, "it's better to be a nerd" phase. I mean, don't be ashamed of it, but I would hate to go through highschool and just be a wallflower.
