It's bear: "I cannot bear a cold shower." "Bare" means to show or expose something. And before you say, "It fits as a pun, because you are naked in the shower," remember that your sentence structure indicates that if you used the word in that manner, you would be using it as a verb talking about the shower. You really can't expose a shower. It's just always there.
