It does make a difference. Not for all songs, but in many songs parts of it are directed more to one side, or all to one side. I forget what it's called Dx

The shape is designed to your left and right ear. You get better sound and clarity if you wear them in the correct ear. You wouldnt wear headphones backwards, would you? It's similar.

A shit ton of companies do this :I Lots of music has split audio dedicated to certain headphones, and they are tailored to fit your ears correctly.
