-67 "I'm from California, so I know good Mexican/Chinese food" or "I'm from the Midwest, so I've seen more snow than this."...STFU, ass. You're not there anymore and nobody gives a damn what you saw, amirite?

Well if you really don't give a damn, then ignore them. It's not like they have any less of a right to say what's on their mind about those things just because YOU don't like it.

The way I see it, OP is complaining about the way that people who visit a different area feel the need to brag about the place they're from. You visit places to learn about them, not tell the locals about how your place is better.

Oh, you're one of them.

I'm sure if you're from the South and go up North you'd say "In January my town never had any snow!" so shut up you hypocrite cause you know you do the same shit.

Nah. I don't. Because it I find it annoying. Thanks :)

"I'm from Kentucky. I've seen less teeth than this." It seems like no matter where you go, people brag that either 1) their weather changes very rapidly or 2) their weather is hot and hotter (or cold and colder). It's like shut up already.. we get that your place is soooo awesome/extreme that you feel the need to one up everything about the place you're currently visiting.

I mention the unpredictability of my weather not to show off where I live. That is not the reason at all why I love my town. I just add it to give at least some insight into where I live that most likely differs from the place where the person I'm telling lives.
