+214 The "nerds" in school almost always have more friends than the "popular kids", amirite?

I've said this before and I'll say it again: they're //popular//, so they're liked by many people (their friends). In reality, "popular" people are really nice, otherwise they wouldn't have friends. In my experience, "nerds" and the unpopular crowd have always been //a lot// more douchy than so-called popular people.

Popular doesn't always mean really nice. Popular girls are usually awful and snotty( I tell from experience.) And although I'm sure that popular kids were once nice, they have grown too used to it and take it for granted, and everyone is "ok" with that, so they don't know its wrong.

This post is stupid because popular kids are popular because they have many friends. However, I disagree with the notion that popular kids are nice and nerds are mean, but I disagree the other way around as well. Popularity is not proportional to one's kindness or meanness at all. There are mean popular people, nice popular people, mean nerds, and nice nerds... let's not judge.

I'm not saying that //all// are nice or mean, I'm just saying that generally, popular kids tend to be really nice, hence them having a lot of friends. Nerds can be popular too. I just said that in my experience (my school) the nerdy crowd is a lot more judgmental and mean, whereas the jocks/cheerleaders/other popular kids are usually very nice, and get a ton of shit from the people who aren't so popular.

Popular kids are usually popular because they're attractive, and not necessarily because they're nice.

Real friends that is.

I'm a nerd and my friends and I usually have so many people sitting at our table that we have to pull up extra chairs. And I'm not popular, pretty, or rich so I know that my friends like me for me.
