halloween sucks

by Anonymous 14 years ago

screw you I love Halloween. I turn 16 the day before Halloween this year.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Wouldn't your birthday -always- be the day before Halloween...?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

yes, but I was signifying that it will be my 16th birthday

technically 'christmas' is a pagan holiday if your talking time as all evidence suggests that 'Jesus' was born nearer 'Easter'. 'Christmas' is only celebrated in december as the christians hijacked the date of the pagan celebration of the 'Winter Solstice' so i agree with you =] xxxxxxxxxx

Took the words right out of my mouth. Maybe Christians should just pick their own holidays instead of stealing pagan ones to try and convince pagans that their gods are stupid. Just sayin! Saturnalia FTW :)

agreed :) xxx

100% Agreed.

1- atheists celebrate comercial christmas, not religious christmas 2- halloween is a moderb version of the christian holiday All-Hallows Eve, where kids dressed up as saints. Know your shit. Oh...and since when are atheists pagans?

(Correction =]): You don't get the point...

(Correction =]): HAHHAHAHHAHAHA! You really misinterpreted/misunderstood the original post. Thanks for the laughs, though.

halloween was originally a christian holiday All-Hallows Eve.. you should prob know what you are talking about before you say stuff.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

That's BS. It's the ancient pagan celebration called Samhain. Maybe YOU should know what you're talking about before you correct people that know better than you, hmmm?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually, it's true origin started with the Celtic celebration of Samhain. The Pope hijacked it and tried to merge it with All Saints Day to get more of them to convert. I'm just saying... http://www.history.com/topics/halloween

PS no one knows for sure what day Jesus was born, therefore they picked a day to celebrate it. its not so much when that day is as much as it is about that fact that we celebrate it. so its not considered a pagan holiday for that reason.

halloween actually used to be all hallow's eve and it wasn't celebrated the way it is now. it used to be a day for remembering the dead and it was a holy day. so maybe you should think before you make assumptions about holidays.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Except that "All Hallow's Eve" also originated from Paganism.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

how about you celebrate what you want, and let others celebrate what they want? as long as its not harmful or dangerous, who cares?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

And as a matter of fact, Christmas was around long before Jesus was. It was a pagan holiday too. Suck it.

And Easter. Don't forget good old Ostara :)
