I had it at all racists but then I realised I couldn't just throw "can't enjoy country music or eat fish and chips" into it. Because Black people won't be racist (generally) to their own culture and visa versa. I know it's one sided though.

Actually there's a surprising number of black people who truly hate/ strongly dislike other black people and black culture just because theyre black. Which, if you think about it, doesn't make a lot of sence.

I think there's some sense built into it. When someone is black, others are more likely to scrutinize them because of that. There is a certain way that some black people are "ghetto", that dominates the stereotype, and it sucks. Those are the blacks that other blacks hate, the ones that make the race as a whole look stupid.

Why would a racist WANT to enjoy other cultures? I've known people who were racist against black people and they didn't go around listening to 'Black culture music'. I think that's the problem though. Maybe if racists experienced more of another culture, they would stop being racist.

That's not the same thing. Every illegal family/person I know would gladly pay taxes. The fact is, the benefits of being an American citizen (better education opportunities, work permits, government aid, health care, not having to worry about getting deported at any time, etc) far outweigh the burden of just paying taxes or doing jury duty. The idea that they just choose not to be citizens is incredibly stupid if you ever bother to think about it. And before you say it, becoming a citizen is not as easy as you think. It has way too much to do with pure luck. For some people (like my dad) it takes a few years and for others (my mom) it can take over a decade. Also, did it ever occur to you that referring to human beings as "illegals" is a bit degrading?
