I know a few great books about school shootings. As people said above, Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Piccoult was good. There was also Give a Boy a Gun by....I'd like to say Todd Strasser, but I'm not sure.

With some of the not-all-there-mentally kids at my school, I'm not the only one.

Safety Activity 1: Stack 3 desks on top of each other, then stack three with the wood facing the door so they cant see in. Defense Activity 2: Turn the rest of the desks over, hide behind them. Arm yourself with scissors. On go, the entire class throws a first round by popping up quickly from behind the desks, throwing them, then popping back down again. Arm yourselves with scissors again. Repeat. I've put thought into it. Oh,and plan C? Have a kid hidden on a cabinet spray his face with a fire extinguisher and block his sight. Dodge randomly flying bullets. Attack. Plan D: <- I think that face explains it.

I'd barricade the room, have everyone hiding yet armed just in case... And if those don't work, prepare an intense speech to talk the shooters out of it. And become a hero! Wow, this was posted on the same day we had an assembly about the Columbine shootings at school.
