+742 Whenever a Disney Channel show (Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place) tries to do a serious episode it just comes off being awkward because they aren't good enough actors to pull off serious. amirite?

Lizzie McGuire wasn't too bad. Boy Meets World was boss at serious scenes.

But that is because they are the good shows. Hannah Montana is not a good show with not so good actors....

Selena Gomez wasn't that bad in the movie that they made. I actually thought she was mildly decent.

JONAS L.A. is pretty good at serious scenes without it being completely bad acting.

This is the FBI. We have proof that you are high on illegal substances and need to question you about as to how you obtained them.

(TheFBI. No seriously): Why do you think that? I'm just saying that when my siblings watch it, it's not completely terrible. And if you're going to hate my response, don't. Hate the person who wrote the post and brought the subject up.

Personally, I was fairly impressed with the more recent, serious episodes of Wizards of Waverly Place. Justin and Alex both lose their 'first loves' and they seem honestly distraught. There are two new characters, Juliet and Mason, and every episode they're in is usually sad, sweet, and over-all a total 180 from most other episodes(especially Juliet-centric episodes). There's still lame Disney 'humor', but when they made us think Juliet had died, I was honestly upset.

Why are you watching Disney channel shows anyways?

"They aren't good enough actors to pull of serious scenes" to me, implies that they are good enough to pull off comedy... Which they aren't...

Zac Efron and the HSM gang did a decent job with serious scenes when they were on Disney.
