+540 It's just wrong to have live action shows on Cartoon Network. amirite?

Yes! Especially Tim & Eric's Awful Show, Crappy Job! That has got to be the most inane, retarded thing adult.swim has aired yet.

It can't be as bad as the lame reality shows they have. I mean, Destroy Build Destroy? What's up with that? I was fine when the network aired Roger Rabbit, because that was at least part cartoon and had good writing, but it's CARTOON network. Why do they think it's okay to have these non-cartoon, not to mention aweful, shows on?

I haven't watched that one, but reality TV as a whole is awful so I believe you. Now that I think about it, I like The Mighty Boosh, and that's live action... I dunno, I agree with you, but I guess Boosh is my exception xD

My 16 year old sister is obsessed with Unnatural History... It's such an awful show. She made us watch it. Though I gotta say some of the new shows cartoon network has come out with are pretty decent, but ONLY Regular Show and Sym-Bionic Titan, and those aren't even live-action. Also I can understand why people would think Regular Show is dumb, lol.

I still can't believe they let those shows on a KIDS network. I'm not saying they're bad, I actually watch Sym-Bionic Titan, but seriously, in the second episode a guy gets strangled on camera and you actually hear the crunching of the bones in his neck and see his body go limp and fall to the ground. The censors are letting people get away with a lot more swearing now too. Again, it's not bad, but it's targetted towards kids. The newer live action show actually looks okay. Haven't seen it, but the acting looks decent and the plot sounds interesting. I just wish it wasn't on CARTOON Network. (What's the plot of Unnatural History anyway? Some kids who live in a museum? Are they even trying anymore?)

I don't know, maybe they're trying to appeal to teenagers now . . . ? But yeah, maybe they've gone a little too far with the violence and swearing. Then again, the shows are clearly rated PG. And there's never been a commercial or anything saying "your kids will love this yay kids come watch this little KIDDIES YAY" (xD what). Unnatural History is basically they're living in a museum and they solve mysteries and stuff. I don't like it. It's kind of like Cartoon Network trying to be Disney Channel or something.

Also, I've never seen anything saying that Cartoon Network is a kids network. Yes, kids watch it, but I've never seen a commercial or anything specifically targeting young kids. (Forgive me if I'm wrong.)

Well, it's clearly targetted towards children considering all the toys they sell, the lack of mature themes and the fact that most of their shows are rated Y or Y-7. It gained the reputation early on though, with family shows like the Flintstones and Scooby Doo that had jokes little kids could easily get, absolutely no foul terms in sight and the closest thing to violence was the Bugs Bunny opera episode.
