There's also a difference between photography and "look at this picture I took of a flower in black and white"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh my goodness! I have a friend who does "photography" and edits every single one of her photos in photoshop before showing them to anyone, and it drives me nuts!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, editing takes skill.

This is true. You have to have an eye for things like that. It's called talent for photography, not everyone has it. I'm a photographer.

True, a good photographer shouldnt have to edit their photos much. A good photographer also utilizes editing tools properly-depending on the project. I am not a photographer as much as I am a painter, but I know the elements that make a good photo-lighting/rule of thirds/framing and such. You should go to tylershields.com He is one of my favorite photographers. He does video portraits and they are the shit.

He's um, very expressive...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah thats why I think its great. He's crazy but legit.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, he's good at capturing things...I like photography because I can catch things that are really happening. Not just by setting up stuff, and making people pose.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Dude. He's fucking awesome.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I know, he stayed up for 40 days and did a bunch of sweet shit. He gets people to jump off bridges and let him punch them in the face, all for the sake of awesome art.

The beauty of the object is what editing depends on not the quality of the photographer

Um, no shit?
