In elementary school you had a slight hatred for someone that had the same first name as you, amirite?

One problem. I have NEVER met someone with the same first name.

Me and my best friend have the same name, and it's spelt the same except she has a c and I have a k. It never bothered me before if some one had the same name as me because I didn't think it was very common where I lived, but now it's like every other girl in my school has the same name. It's so annoying.

There was this girl named rachel, but she told everyone to call her Stevie. I hated her so much, especially when they put her as stevie in the yearbook :P

The only other girl I knew with the same name as me when I was that age was a girl I knew because our older brothers were in boy-scouts together and then, later on, we were in girl-scouts together. We didn't go to the same school or anything, but every week I saw her. Her mother was the LEADER of the troup, so, whenever she would yell out her name to yell at her for something, my head always snapped in the same direction and I thought I was in trouble for something. Our names were spelled differently, though, and, eventually, everyone just started calling me Katie at girl-scouts to ease the confusion. I didn't HATE her, per se, but there was definitely competition to see who could bring the name a better reputation.
