+239 Imagine this situation: you're in a lucid dream, but you fail to realize it when you do a reality check. You continue on in your dream as if it were regular life, and it never occurs to you that what's happening isn't real. We could all be dreaming, amirite?

Even though I gave you a YYA just because your point is very philosophical and quite fun to mull over, the fact is that you cannot have a lucid dream which you fail to recognize, as that contradicts the very definition of the term. Lucid dream: "Main Entry: lucid dream Part of Speech: n Definition: a dream state in which one is conscious enough to recognize that one is in the dream state and which stays in one's memory" That said, still a nice point. Edgar Allan Poe would agree with you, writing: "All that we see or seem, is but a dream within a dream".
