I read this quickly, and at first I read this as if the magnetic part was referring to the pressure of the fridge doors, and that you were wondering if the inventor came up with it because he wanted to put his mom in the fridge so she couldn't get out. I was like lolwut? Then I read it again and was like wowwwww I'm smart.

I think the guy who thought of making refrigerators out of metal was the same person who though of making refrigerators.
