-94 There are two kinds of Texans: the stereotypical kind who are conceited about being big, bad Texans, and then the Austinites, who are conceited about ACL fest, SXSW, not supporting bug businesses, and everything else in the city. But which ever one they are, they're arrogant because they're from Texas, amirite?

Being a Texan, I can definitely say that we're all conceited.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Being a Texan, I can definitely tell you that you can't just make assumptions about a person based on what state they live in.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I've never been described as concieted before. Tell me more about myself.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Most Texans, not all. And you've never been proud to be a Texan?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Being proud and being conceited are two totally different things.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Okay, well, as a Texan, I've found that a lot of people think that they're better because they're Texans. But whatever.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I, personally, do not like Texas as a whole. I am not conceited and/or proud of my state.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah, I never liked their race, we should go and take over them varmints!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Then you get Jensen Ackles, the most awesome Texan ever.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

There are 3 types. The two you described, and then the awesome ones who work for Rooster Teeth.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

FUCK YEAH I LOVE MY STATE hahaha not conceited, just damn proud.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah I love Texas, I was born and raised here, but it doesn't make me conceited. Nothing wrong with being proud of who I am. I definitely don't look down on people from other states. I make fun of Texas a lot too: I make stereotypical jokes about Texas, hate the weather, and hate that there aren't any mountains here...so no generalizations please.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

So how many cows and horses you got on your farm? Kidding :) Yeah I hate the bipolar weather too. And I hate that people assume everyone owns a pair of cowboy boots/hats

by Anonymous 12 years ago

bahaha. I love Texas stereotypes :) It think the only true stereotype is that we say "y'all" or "yawl" lol. I've never even ridden a horse sing the 3rd grade, I've never had my own pair of cowboy boots, and the only cowboy hat I ever had is too small on me now haha. Do people from Chicago really stretch the "a"s in words?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Something like that.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

FYI I was born and raised here. No, I am not conceited just because I'm from Texas. That would be ridiculous. I'm conceited because I'm fucking awesome. And sexy.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Hi I'm from Texas what country are you from?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm from Texas and I'm damn proud of it. I mean. We were a country once. Come on. How can not be proud of it?
