We Americans only have three countries two our credit, unless you count Central and South America. Europe has many more than three.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Yeah, but bear in mind, one of them is France.
by Anonymous13 years ago
France actually is a really efficient country.
But, unfortunately, they're a tad too efficient at fleeing.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Yeah, France is nice, it's just of any country in the world, France is apparently the one people don't mind jokes about.
by Anonymous13 years ago
At the beginning of World War I, 500,000 French soldiers marched into German machine gun fire and died. Is that the same France we're talking about?
by Anonymous13 years ago
I don't see your point, but yes.
by Anonymous13 years ago
"They're a tad too efficient at fleeing" contradicts my post.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Take a joke bruh
by Anonymous13 years ago
I've never been to Europe so I can't really compare the two.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Europe sucks donkey ass
by Anonymous13 years ago
i bet all my money you've never lived and you're an american
by Anonymous13 years ago
so 17 dollars?
by Anonymous13 years ago
as you could've guessed, if you were smarter than a chair, i don't use dollars.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Just cause you support Europe doesnt mean you live there. Take a joke and some midol to get rid of your cramps.
by Anonymous13 years ago
props
by Anonymous13 years ago
oh ok, so because i "support Europe" that means that I do not live there and I use dollars.
no sane american stands up for another country, 1
and 2, if it was a good joke i would've taken it fine. over-used and unoriginal
by Anonymous13 years ago
look buddy. Let me help you out.. You take the dildo out of your ass when your done. You dont leave it in silly..
by Anonymous13 years ago
ha ha? you're just full of these great jokes, huh
by Anonymous13 years ago
Im just not in the mood for bs thats all. And when im in this mood, i get extremely sarcastic
by Anonymous13 years ago
I'm from America and YYA'd this.
I've been to Europe before.
Aside from the fact that sleeping was torture, I loved it.
by Anonymous13 years ago
something wrong with the beds?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Time change.
by Anonymous13 years ago
lol jetlag's not that bad, it only lasts around a day or two.
psht, "torture"
by Anonymous13 years ago
Little-torture? :D
by Anonymous13 years ago
The average European has a higher quality of life then the average American, so by that standard this post is right.
by Anonymous13 years ago
True, but there is no overall standard of "goodness." You can only really state statistics that imply goodness due to certain connotations. But that's just me being super pedantic. :D
by Anonymous13 years ago
Pshh. We have tons of freedoms, and correct me if I'm wrong, but it's a bit safer here than Europe :P
by Anonymous13 years ago
The crime rates are higher in America so I doubt it's safer.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I've read some places that we have a lower terrorism rate. But it was awhile ago, so it might not still be true...
by Anonymous13 years ago
i've managed not to die so far. i've never experienced all that "high crime rate" and i've lived in a large city.
there are dangerous places all over the world, not just one neighborhood in one city in America...
by Anonymous13 years ago
Congratulations on surviving. Not saying America is "unsafe" just saying it's not safer than Europe.
by Anonymous13 years ago
agreed then :) i was just saying America isn't all that "unsafe."
by Anonymous13 years ago
Mexicans.
by Anonymous13 years ago
What are you talking about
America has
1) Gyms that have escalators
2) Obama
3) A Great Economy
4) Illegals running around everywhere
5)... yeah Europe is better.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Lmao. Love that!
But, despite our millions of problems, I love my country!
by Anonymous13 years ago
racisist >.>
by Anonymous13 years ago
I'm curious. What's racist??
by Anonymous13 years ago
good lord. Im not racist, but whats illegal is illegal. Plus I didnt say Mexicans.. for all you know I was talking about those damn Canadians.
by Anonymous13 years ago
fucking candians. always coming over here for our free health care.
oh wait..
by Anonymous13 years ago
I KNOW
by Anonymous13 years ago
Right, you were talking about the abundance of Canadians who cross the border every year into America. Come on, man, I'm not calling you racist, but you know that's bullshit. ;P
by Anonymous13 years ago
it was a joke sarah palin. I like mexicans. But not illegals. And im sorry that most of them are mexicans..
Go back to watching Russia
by Anonymous13 years ago
Watch your mouth, boy, I can see everything from my house.
Everything. Yeah.
by Anonymous13 years ago

by Anonymous13 years ago
*Everything.*
by Anonymous13 years ago
*shoots self*
by Anonymous13 years ago
I'm an American, but I like Europe better too
by Anonymous13 years ago
America has its advantages, but when I was in Europe the entire atomosphere felt better to me than the U.S.
by Anonymous13 years ago
It takes a continent to compare it self to America.
Enough said.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Well, it's big enough to be a continent.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I guess we should make California or Arizona their own country.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I heard Texas was considering to secede.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Well "America" could be taken to mean the continents of North America and South America combined. :P
by Anonymous13 years ago
well, since America is a continent it's not that much of a shock to compare ANOTHER continent to it
by Anonymous13 years ago
America isn't a continent. SOUTH America and NORTH America are continents.
by Anonymous13 years ago
America is a continent. You don't say eastern Asia and western asia are different continents do you?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Thats because they aren't labeled as eastern Asia or Western Asia. We do have, however, North America and south America.
by Anonymous13 years ago
lol labeled? on a map? you really think that's because they're two different continents and not for your own convenience? america is one continent. there ARE different ways of saying it, some people say there are 6 continents while some say 7; some even say 4! whichever you choose is fine, as long as you don't make ridiculous statements like your first comment. anyway, if it takes a continent to compare itself to america(north america+south america) wouldn't that mean it's not that good? i mean 1 continent vs. 2 continents?
by Anonymous13 years ago
They are only connected by a small strip of land, should we call Africa, Asia, and Europe 1 continent?
by Anonymous13 years ago
a continent isn't simply a piece of land. people make and draw borders for the continents themselves, if you didn't know. they have set agreements just like for the metric system. sure, americans like to use north america and south america because it's easier to refer/understand, but that in no means makes them separate continents. if you had half a pizza with pepperoni and the other with cheese, you'd call one cheese pizza and the other pepperoni, but that doesn't make the two halves completely independent meals. but w/e, choose whichever you want. this is like convincing someone religion
by Anonymous13 years ago
Exactly what Monarchry said..
by Anonymous13 years ago
America is TWO continents.
by Anonymous13 years ago
This has a lot of potential to start a huge argument...
by Anonymous13 years ago
see this on /b/ every day
by Anonymous13 years ago
(Anonymous):Then I guess the question is why do you visit /b/ every day? It can't be healthy.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I'm canadian, dating a german. . . and of all the boys i've ever dated, this European is by FAR the best :) And i've met so many nice europeans. So at least socially, Europeans are better.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Damn Germans, they're everywhere.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Why can't we all just be friends? We helped you in world war 1 and 2. you'd be GONE if we didn't come to help.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Friends? This isn't the place for some silly thing that! Facebook is for friends, amirite is for ENEMIES! (just kidding)
by Anonymous13 years ago
Because arguments like this are fun.
by Anonymous13 years ago
What do you mean? Their food, art, Weather or something else? Because I'm sure no place is better than another in every single way. Both have their flaws so yeah, stupidest post I've seen today.
by Anonymous13 years ago
No place is any better than any other place. Just because you have you're preference doesn't mean America sucks
by Anonymous13 years ago
Gosh, amirite is becoming a battlefield for Europe vs America. Why can't we go along calling each other's accents and ways of life awesome like the MLIAers?
by Anonymous13 years ago
His name... lol.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I love Europe, but I wouldn't want to live there. Not to sound like a total cheapskate, but everything is way more than it should be.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Despite all going wrong right now in America, I love it here (the holidays and weather specifically). But then again,I have lived my whole life here, and I'm just 14 year old kid so I don't really understand the stress of the whole economic crisis. It really depends though. One's not really better then the other. I'd LOVE to visit Europe, but I'd never live there.
by Anonymous13 years ago
America is perfect in every way. :o
by Anonymous13 years ago
Uhh...
Obesity.
Mexicans.
More obesity.
Ignorance.
Stupid people.
Enough said.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Ignorance=stupid people.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Uh . . .
Sarcasm.
Satire.
Irony.
Humor.
More sarcasm.
Enough said. And what's wrong with Mexicans? Hmmmmm....?
by Anonymous13 years ago
I have no problem with Mexicans, it's you Americans who do.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Riiiiiight, but who's the one who put it on a list of cons among ignorance, obesity and stupidity? Now you're generalizing Americans *and* Mexicans.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I was talking about Americans, not Mexicans.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Whatever helps you sleep at night, man.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Well...I don't think any continent is better than another.
Pros and cons, people.
by Anonymous13 years ago
are you taking about just america or the entire continent of north america?
by Anonymous13 years ago
I don't think you can really say that. America is a country, Europe is a continent. Even so, each has their own good things and bad things about them. Plus, it comes down to your own opinion and everyone has different opinions.
by Anonymous13 years ago
America is much larger than Europe
by Anonymous13 years ago
...no it isn't.
by Anonymous13 years ago
it's only four times as large, but that doesn't count right?
by Anonymous13 years ago
are you retarded?
by Anonymous13 years ago
OP was talking about the usa not "north america + south america".
by Anonymous13 years ago
LOL we win.
Just admit we're better and be on your way.
/end immaturity
by Anonymous13 years ago
I'm American, and i agree with this. Europe has a richer history, is more energy efficient, generally has more civil rights. They are also healthier and happier. I could keep going, but there really is no point....
by Anonymous13 years ago
Btw guys, this is obviously a troll. His name is "controversies"
by Anonymous13 years ago
Successful troll.
by Anonymous13 years ago
this post is only in the negatives because there are more americans on this site. it is but a biased report of people's thoughts on europe vs. america
by Anonymous13 years ago
Statistically speaking the best countries to live in are in Europe because of better health care, lower crime rates, and over all just better social programs unlike in America where you're honestly left to fend for yourself. Europe also ranks higher in environmental consciousness and the countries have a constant climate throughout (In America, there are cold areas, dessert areas, rainy areas, etc) meaning the weather is the same and not changing from one part of the countries to another. However, Europe was historically the most imperialistic continent with probably some of the most bloodiest wars/rebellions with each other as well as other continents.
by Anonymous13 years ago
You forgot South Africa
by Anonymous13 years ago
Country =/= Continent. Unless you mean North America? Or South America? Or both?
Anyway. It's kind of pointless to say one thing is better than the other. I've lived in Europe twice, (Baumholder, Germany, to be exact) and I think North America and Europe are both lovely places.
by Anonymous13 years ago
He's a dumbfuck American, that's why he refers to his country as "America"; he's not referring to North and/or South America.
by Anonymous13 years ago
For goodness sake, I think we all know the poster is referring to the USA. Jeez people, a good deal of comments are just saying 'which America'' and it really doesn't make them clever.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Europe is so much prettier than here in the U.S.A.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I love how people are fighting over this. It doesn't matter this post is voted into the negative pile
by Anonymous13 years ago
i assumed by america they meant USA if they mean america as in the continents then my vote is different
