I sense a debate coming on with this post. I'm gonna homepage it just to see if I'm right.

Thank you. Id love to see people agree with me, and other people try to change my mind.

You're very welcome. I hope it makes it on.

I love John but I have to say "Hey Jude" is my favorite song.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hey Jude's one of mine, but my favorites are usually the true blends of Paul and John, like "I've Got a Feeling", and, my all time favorite, "A Day in the Life."

How could you compare John and Paul? They have pretty different styles, both great.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's not hard. While their styles are different, I compared them in every category that was important to me. Meaning, lyrics, overall talent, etc., and while their both very talented, in the end I decided Johns music is a lot more meaningful.

Ditto. My friend's a huge Paul fan, but I'm more of a John fan. (and Ringo ;) George is my least favorite though, Sorry George!) John speaks more to me as a role model. Unlike Paul, he didn't hide any flaws and didn't try to sweep very many things under the rug. He wasn't anywhere near a perfect man, but he tried. Plus he's beautiful ;)

john wrote a song about communism!! yeah, thats very meaningful!!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I didn't say ALL of his songs were more meaningul than ALL of Pauls. Just for the most part.

Geeorge>Ringo>Paul>John. John kinda took credit for the whole band, he strikes me as a bit of a douche. Maybe we shouldnt compare them though, they're (or were, in John and George's case) all amazing musicians :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

agreed on the last part, but i say George>Paul>John=Ringo but it is hard for me to choose because I still love them all so much :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well, he did kind of make the band, and I can see how he could strike people as a douche. He was very open, and never tried to hide anything about himself, which is kind of a missed blessing. Unlike other celebrities, if there's something you like about John, you know it's genuine. However, that also means anything and everything negative about him belongs to the public, which can distance some from him.

i agree with you George is the best!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Aw both are amazing :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Omg it made it:D

by Anonymous 13 years ago

To be honest they both have completely different sounds, I think they compliment eachother. I could never just pick one, one without the other would of made the Beatles just suck.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I agree, when choosing my favorite, comparing only their work with the band made it next to impossible. I kept finding myself having to compare their solo work, and other things not related to the band.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Exactly. Can't we just say we liked all of them? Though I feel I'm biased because I've only seen one of them live.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

....And George is better than both of them. It's obnoxious that John and Paul would only let him write two songs (max) per album.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I always felt bad for George whenever I heard how much of his stuff was left out to make room for "the big shots". There is some good to this, though. When the band broke up, George got to release all of his songs that weren't "good enough" for the band, without them being tampered with by John or Paul, on one of the greatest albums of all time, "All Things Must Pass." The title track was recorded by The Beatles before the break up, but not released until Anthology 3 in 96. Listen to both of them, and you'll hear how much better George's version is.

No way in hell

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Aah, you're just like my friend. We've been having this argument for months. Paul is pretty amazing, though.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

T0tally! It's definitely nothing to argue over you can't change someones mind :D
