Thus, causing a paradox and destroying the universe, moron. It's called the butterfly effect. Kill a butterfly in the past, come back and 20 million people die. You should only travel into the future.

Travelling back and changing "history" could not cause a paradox. Since the path of time can "fork", you would create an alternate timeline - these new events would not change OUR pasts/futures and the things that happened leading up to the time travel would remain unaffected, as would the future of the time traveller's original timeline. The event would cause an alternate timeline with an alternate "future" (or past, depending on your perspective). Time travel paradoxes can't and don't exist in the realms of modern physics.
