+373 Twilight is not more realistic than Harry Potter. Sorry, TwiHards, but vampires don't exist, and neither do werewolves. And Harry Potter fans, wizards don't exist. Nor do goblins, hippogriffs, thestrals, or house-elves. Get over yourselves, they're both fiction/fantasy, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They are both just books. I meanI love Harry Potter (books) but I know that those things don't exist.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well, maybe my life is actually so bad that I'd love it if wizards, witches, gobins, hippogriffs, thestrals, house-elves, and dragons existed, because life would be a hell of a lot better than it is now.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Maybe we'd all love it!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Percy Jackson is obviously the most realistic. I mean, come on people.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

And we all hope that the United States never turns into Panem. Or the U.S. depicted in Fahrenheit 451.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I am a huge HP fan, but c'mon... No one really believes that stuff is real.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

NOOOOOOO! FIRST SANTA AND THE TOOTH FAIRY, NOW THIS??? D-':

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Win

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My house elf is very disappointed in you.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Muggles... Bless them, they've convinced themselves.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I know right? Well anyways, see you at Hogwarts tomorrow.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You go here too?! What house are you in?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ravenclaw! But I hoped for Gryffindor :( My best friend Neville is there.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ravenclaw?! I haven't seen you in the common room!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hey, I'm a Ravenclaw too! I'm a fourth year

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Fifth year!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm a Sixth year this year! :) Maybe you haven't seen me because I've been looking for the Room of Requirement every time we have free time. I need a place to hide something...shh. ;)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

im gonna have my thestral attack you as your running out of hogwarts.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Jealous Muggle

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I know they are not real, but its fun to pretend

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I also know it's fake, it's still a good book though, with a nice message about bravery and perseverance. And exactly WHAT does Twilight teach us again?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That stalking is romantic.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well, stalking usually a sexual motivation.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That if you throw yourself off a cliff an ice cube and chihuahua will fight for your heart? And that if you refuse to become a vamp without sex, a vampire will allow you to have there mutant spawn? Oh, and you should push your sweet guy friends toward bitches like Jessica.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What's wrong with fiction/fantasy?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Harry Potter's actually a tiny bit possible- the wizarding world conceals itself quite well with the use of memory charms, invisibility cloaks, and the Statue of Secrecy. I'm not dumb enough to truly believe it's possible, but I'm just explaining how us muggles could be oblivious to the wizarding world if it DID exist.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

twilights a bit posible to!!! vampires r like real ppl in hiding!!! ;D

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(edwardsgirl<3): Can they spell?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(edwardsgirl<3): I have read the series, so I understand how Twilight could be possible as well. But seriously, I'd rather Harry Potter, including its *real* vampires (I forget who he was, he was at Slughorn's christmas party, I think) and werewolves (LUPIN!!!!!!!! And Greyback, though he's not as awesome and honestly kind of creepy) be real than Twilight. It has a stupid plot that essentially revolves around a nondescript girl, a statue, and a native american werewolf. I don't mean to offend Twilight fans at all (my closest friend likes Twilight), but I have a right to express my opinion. And please, your grammar needs improvement. Just because you're on the internet doesn't mean you have an excuse for that. If you were on a phone, I wouldn't care as much, but you aren't.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

LUPIN!!! :D Anyhoo, I think his name was Sanguine or something like that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh yeah!!! I don't have time to double-check in the book, but I will when I can.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

that is a very good point!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Avada Kedavra.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

*falls down dead* *comes back to life after a long talk with Dumbledore and kills you* "YAYYY!!!!" heehee haha

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Thaaank you! Geez it's a great book, stop making it your fucking life.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Kind of like the bible. heh.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Shit is about to go down cuz of that

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Er.. No shit went down....

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I know. Very upset :(

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Here: THE BIBLE ISN'T GODDAMN FANTASY! MOST OF THE OLD TESTAMENT IS IN FACT ALMOST A HISTORY BOOK OF THE JEWISH FAITH AND THEIR LIVES. EVERYTHING HAPPENED. Better?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I guess that should do it

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Twilight isn't even real in my heroin hallucinations. Harry Potter sure as hell is though.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The most unrealistic thing in Twilight is that a boy would be interested in Bella Swan, let alone TWO. Harry Potter on the other hand, is real. But us Muggles will never be able to observe their world directly. Let's just be thankful the Ministry allowed Rowling to market the books to us.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Im not sure about you... Muggle. Me and My pureblood-ness go through to 9 and 3/4 every year and we sit with fred weasley... my Future husband... but then alas.... he has gone.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Can you do me a favor and Avada Kedavra the person who -1 my comment?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I would, but alas, it is illegal, and I am hoping that you would care more for more soul than the -1? I really don't want to get the kiss.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The guy who -1 you was probably Voldemort.... HE was embarrassed that the entire world, muggle and wizard alike knew about his embarrassing down fall to a teenage boy

by Anonymous 11 years ago

SHUN THE NONBELIEVER!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

SHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNN

by Anonymous 13 years ago

SHUUUN!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

At least Harry Potter explains itself. Imean come on, sparkling, Meyer? You couldn't make up something to make vampires sound MORE lame?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It could be worse. Eddy could use his magical unicorn to fly to the sky to ingest rainbows.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's true, though....Rowling does explain everything throughout the series in the end, but, dare I say it, (and I know I'll be attacked for it), I actually do like Twilight....a little....but deffinately Harry Potter more. Even check out my About Me page, I said that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The OP is just jealous that he/she's a Squib.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Pfff, I doubt their parents, if wizards, would raise them to believe that wizards don't exists. They're just a muggle.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't see why a fiction book being more realistic would make it better.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Thank you! The point of fiction is to suspend disbelief for a while... However, once you've put the book down, you should return to reality.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I believe Pendragon wins for most realistic. Harry Potter comes in a close second.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Pfft... Muggles in denial

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So...the hunger games aren't happening this year?! Thank god...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm pretty sure no one believes it's real. But Harry Potter is more realistic because, given the world they describe, the events make sense. And also, friendship and actualy relationships DO exist in real life, but those are left out of Twilight.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

what the fuck are you talking about. I got my hogwarts letter in the mail today. atleast in harry potter, the events make sense, and it has a great story line. in harry potter its all about confronting fears, finding inner strength and doing what is right in the face of adversity...twilight is about the how importnt it is to have a boyfriend...really, meyer, a sparkling vampire, really?. I think we should take kristen stewart, and push her into acting classes. on the other hand, harry potter has the most brilliant british actors/actresses. and the 7th movie is coming out in 2 parts. tickets are gonna b sold out for weeks. on the twilight series finale, there are gonna b a bunch of wizards and witches, yelling avada kedavra in their house robes everytime edward cullen comes on screen.. Avada Kedavra jealous muggle. HARRY FUCKING POTTER. <3

by Anonymous 13 years ago

When we say "more realistic" we just mean characters. Not the fact that they're wizards or v*mpires, just the way they act. Harry Potter wins by the way.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

In that case, I don't see how anyone can think Twilight would win. even the fans agree (and even like the fact that) Edward is just an empty canvas they can project all their wants and needs onto and Bella is an empty shell the reader can insert themselves into and apply their own personalities. the way the characters are described is really vague and they love that because then they can make the story their own.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I was not expecting this to have such a debate....COOL!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

THANK YOU.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

YOU'RE WELCOME.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Okay, idiots. We're humans, not "muggles."

by Anonymous 13 years ago

twilight sucks balls

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Silly muggles.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Thematically and character development-wise, Harry Potter is far more realistic, which makes HP superior since it obviously has more value as an enduring piece of literature.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hey, just sayin', JK Rowling doesn't believe in magic and all that, and Stephanie Meyer wrote Twilight from a dream. Soo...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If HP were real, you are all "muggles" so you are fucked. Twilight is real. It's an unseen world people have to deal with every day, and one day YOU may be thrown into the choice between bestiality and necrophilia.. ..hehehe
