Yeah it has been for a long time.. His brother Raul took over when he got really sick. And recently Fidel was quoted saying that communism doesn't work.

That's what he wants you to think! He's orchestrating the whole thing behind the curtains, where no one can see him. And if only he learned that while he was still in power (which he still is) too many people end up realizing things after it's too late to change it. Btw you guys didn't hear he's still in power from me. If anyone asks where you heard it, blame it on Tia

Castro was one of the best things to happen to Cuba he actually did a lot of good for his country they have a great Health care and the country did the best of what they had which was not much which is why most of the country was impoverished.

fuck yes. did you know the cuban government spends, on average, 400,000 dollars for every person in their country? Yeah, it all includes health care, superior education you name it. Why the hell can't the U.S, richest and most powerful country in the world, not do the same thing?

@640170 (TrollingTroll): Ha, my dad who used to live in Communist Russia had a good quote about the problem with socialism. "Where everyone has a job, but everyone is poor...." And although Castro had economically improved the country regardless of USs embargo, he did a lot of bad things to people who opposed him, such as murder, a lot of murder.... Oh also being gay wasn't allowed until like maybe 15 years ago? Also if he was that bad of a leader, then there would have been a revolution by now. Because he's been in power for a long time

Hahahaha, no. How do you expect a Caribbean island to survive on its own? It's almost impossible without trade. Communism cut off tourism which is a big part of all the other islands' economies as well.
