-122 American humor is a lot funnier than bland British humor, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

good first post, do you want to be recruited into my band of trolls? I'm Llort.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

For some reason I find it difficult to imagine trolls working together.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I don't really care what you think of me. I'm not ignorant, I'm posting my opinion.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

trolls are not ignorant, good trolls are some of the smartest people out there, we just have a craving for attention and debate is a good way to get this attention. I like you, you are very opinionated.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's not that it's "bland," you just don't understand it. Not because you're stupid or anything like that, but because it's different humor from a completely different culture.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What does this even mean? Can you please give me an example of "British humor".

by Anonymous 12 years ago

yes, jackass is clearly more humorous than Monty python.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well if your beimg sarcastic, stand-up comedy and shows like (Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Workaholics, Tosh.O) are definatley better than monty python.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yes, I was being sarcastic. So was your spell check.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

What even IS American humor? I mean I've heard of British humor but I didn't know Americans had a specific style.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Sexual jokes

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I don't think that's true.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Stupid, cliched jokes.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I don't think that's true either.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

uh what about Mr. Bean? mmm hmm

by Anonymous 12 years ago

In all fairness, The Big Bang Theory is pretty hilarious. So is South Park.

British humour>American humor

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I doubt you even have a grasp of what British humour is.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah, totally, I mean you gave the world the genius that is Two and a Half Men and Everybody Loves Raymond, and all we've managed to come up with is Monty Python, That Mitchell and Webb Look, and Mock the Week, we are so clearly inferior.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Two and a Half Men and Everybody loves Raymond are so dry and stupid.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I don't know, it's actually pretty even. There are good AND bad things about both.

Not just the British. I'm from NZ so I'm pretty neutral but I still think British humour is funnier.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I really don't understand the difference. Could someone please explain it to me? I've never really seen or heard British comedy, I think.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Most of the time, British humor is very dry, whereas American humor tends to be a bit more obvious.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Do you mean it's more in what they say than how they say it? Almost like they're deadpan?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's not really explainable. You'd have to listen to American humor, then British humour. They're both different styles and appeal to different people.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Did humor and humour in one post, you'll never know where I'm from!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Canada. Just kidding! Okay. I guess I'll just look it up on youtube or something. Thanks.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Not a huge fan of British humor, but I always crack up when they talk about tea.
