The peace sign has almost completely lost its meaning. Now it's just a fashion statement, amirite?

The guitar has completely lost its meaning. Now it's just about looking cool, amirite?

I don't play guitar to look cool. I couldn't give less of a shit whether I look cool or not. I play guitar because I like blues music and rock music. Nevertheless, I agree with your statement.

Yes, I know that there are some people who like playing for the purpose of playing, but then there are others who just clearly do it for the way it looks. Like the peace sign, I use it when I say hello and/or goodbye as another way of doing it.

Well the peace symbol originally ment to symbolise nuclear disarment.

All symbols get raped by the public. Hence why little kids draw Anacrhy symbols on everything to 'rebel'.
If an iconic image is around long enough, it gets turned into part of fashion. Even warning signs have been made part of fashion.

I hate how the peace symbol's a fashion statement. Instead of actually spreading the "be peaceful" message, it's more like, "i'm wearing a peace sign shirt to be cool."

I actually have peace sign stuff 'cause I like peace, but to everyone else it just seems like I'm trying to be cool or something.
