It depends... is it a re do your whole life button? Or just your mistake? Because if you undo the mistake, then you can still invent the thing you would have invented in the first place, just to prevent that from happening again, either to you or to anyone else

Nope, it would be happening in constant time, well depending on the efficiency of the re-do button. No one would notice, anythings been re done, except the person who re did it. The whole thing is slightly confusing, because every time you re-do something, you would probably creating a different dimension, in which you wouldn't have to suffer the consequences, but the other you would have to. Or at least that's the way I imagine it

But if we were constantly going back say a day because someone might of stubbed their toe or lost their stick (Still speaking inside of cave man era) we would be on the same day forever without even noticing it.

Hmm, I guess you're right... maybe this "re-do button" of yours should have a limit! So that way, people will use it wisely.
