Wow! Another athesist with an old but witty comment. There really is no way to vote on this post because it is true and untrue. God never said don't work hard. The prayers are for what we can't do like drive all the way over to Haiti to help people. We pray, hope that those people will be alright. If God scares you than you don't have to bleieve in him. What gives you the right to put people who do believe down?

Yeah, well, he's not implying that God scares him and by just assuming it and by putting HIM down by asking him why he's putting other people down is just unfair. He's just asking if he's right. Which is what everyone on the website is doing. I know you're just stating your opinion and you're probably a religious person but assuming someone else's beliefs without evidence is all wrong. As you may have guessed I'm also an Atheist, but it doesn't affect my opinion which is 'you have no right to judge another person', even if it is on a sensitive topic such as religion. On another note, I agree with TheRomanianAssasin, if a person, let's say fly to Haiti or maybe even just collect clothes or supplies or donations and puts it toward the cause, it'll probably do a lot more than praying. Praying could help, don't get me wrong. There's also the Law of Attraction that is probably related to praying.

Ooooh here we go. I never said that some religious people don't work hard, but you are only contradicting yourself. If you really cared that much, you WOULD go down there yourself and contribute to the relief effort instead of praying. Praying will do nothing but waste 5 minutes of your life. Second of all, God does not scare me, the fact that millions of people believe in him scares me. It makes me wonder if we will ever be able to overcome this pandemic that we call religion.

Man, if I could take time off, had the ability, them money and the know how I would. God does scare you. You just admitted that millions who believe in God scares you. Therefore God scares you. Unless you are one of those people who can't stand others enjoying themselves.
