+638 One of the worst things about reading a book that other people haven't heard of is that you can't discuss it with anyone because they just won't care, amirite?

And then you try to get your friends to read it, and when they do, they either think it was really stupid or they become super obsessed with it.

I still haven't found a single person who has read my favorite book series.

Well, what is it?

The Sword of Truth series, whenever I try to get someone to read it, they don't really want to read a book that's an inch or two thick.

And it could be the most amazing book in the world, and they will take one look at it and say "that's weird" or "that's a stupid book" if it's any different from the overdone, cliche stuff. There are good books that AREN'T about Vampires, Werewolves, Wizards, Magic, or lonely angst teenagers. I mean, Yeah, Harry Potter is all right, but that doesn't mean every other book sucks! Going Bovine is my favorite book in the whole world, but I'm willing to read a fantasy or a non-fiction or a classic every now and again.

My friend and I swap books all the time. I just introduced her to one of my favorite books and we've been discussing it for days now.

Once my teacher made my class read a book just so she could have people to talk about it with. You're welcome for that random bit of info.
