+583 If you don't have the means, intelligence, or maturity to raise a child, then you shouldn't be involved in promiscuous activities, such as sex. amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

OR, you could just practice safe sex with condoms and birth control...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

true, but contraceptives may not always work. there is always risk of forgetting to take the pill one day or the condom breaking.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Uh huh, and if you use both, the chances are like .0000001.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

STILL HAPPENS.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

As the post is saying these people aren't mature/intelligent so odds are they aren't planning that well, or are that consistent. Look at all the kids who are accidents, I bet their parents thought they were playing it safe.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Safe sex doesn't lead to a baby. Your post should be "If you're not responsible enough to have safe sex you shouldn't have sex."

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Doesn't matter if it is safe or not. You can still have a baby no matter WHAT. Unless you have like a hysterectomy or something.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You can still get pregnant (though the chances are very very low), but there are other ways to avoid having a baby.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

K, wait. Did you just... not read what I said or something?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm saying that even if all birth control fails (which is highly unlikely) and the sperm fertilises the egg, you can still back out. I was referring to abortion/adoption.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

By the way, this is a repost.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

True, to your first comment and sorry I didn't realize someone already made this post.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There's always a risk of having contraceptives break or fail, which is why there are teenagers who had "safe sex" that end up pregnant. So yes, this is true.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There is more to sex than making a baby...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So, someone who doesn't want to have children at all needs to stay a virgin for their whole life, even if they're married or in a steady relationship, thats what you're saying? Yes, condoms and other means of birth control are not 100% effective, there's no denying it. But the chances of getting pregnant while you are practicing safe sex is very slim, especially if you combine different methods.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not at all. What the OP is saying is that if you don't have the means, intelligence or maturity to take care of one, you shouldn't have sex. Not just if you don't want one. Having the means, intelligence and maturity means that if you DO get pregnant, you'll do what's best for the child... which can mean raising it or putting it up for adoption, etc. But, I know sooooo many people who honestly CANNOT do what is best for the baby because they are too stupid or immature. My friend is pregnant (17) and she does drugs (while pregnant) and she wants to KEEP it. She's a perfect example. That's what the OP is saying from what I can understand.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well, that is a lot more understandable, but from the way that the OP worded his/her post it was unclear.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

sorry, i should have worded it better.

WHAT IF ONE PARTY IS ABLE TO RAISE A CHILD AND THE OTHER ONE IS A MINOR I MEAN ... COME TO MY VAN

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(average pedophile): Bahahhaa.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

cant half tell op is a virgin

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Man, you are stupid.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I've been with my bf more than 4 years. We don't want kids any time soon. We have sex. A lot. No condoms, I'm allergic. But I'm on the pill. In 6+ years of taking it, I've never been preggo. Coooool.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(:)): So you're allergic to latex, polyurethane, and lambskin condoms? I doubt that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Even if i'm a... Promiscuous girl? Ah? Ahhh?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

@691284: in fact, I am. But seriously? If I wanna fuck my man of over 4 years without a condom that most definitely does not make me promiscuous or anything like that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

promiscuous activities such as sex? what other promiscuous activities lead to pregnancy?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's the point.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

lol you obviously don't get it. Just making out can lead to sex.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

oh i get it now. i guess i wasn't thinking about it that way.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Birth control pills have soooooooooo many bad sides effects for women. You shouldn't use them. And I completely agree with the OP. Also, all you people who are having sex with your boyfriend/girlfriend, are irresponsible, even if you are using a contraceptive. Babies can still be concieved if you use a contraceptive. The solution in very simple; if you don't want a baby DON'T HAVE SEX. Oh look, I just solved the problem of abortion. The only problem is that people are too pleasure oriented and selfish to abstain. Besides, there's a better way to make sure you don't get a baby. It's called Natural Family Planning. Look it up.
